Our People

SAMANTHA SHEPPARD

In 2004, Samantha (Sam) and her husband left the bright lights of London and ‘escaped’ to the stunning seaside town of Noosa.

Sam previously qualified as a lawyer in England in 1999 and for the next five years worked as a specialised commercial property lawyer, mainly acting for large corporate clients.

After moving to Noosa, Sam’s practice diversified and she started acting for individual and corporate clients on a variety of commercial, business, property and estate planning/administration/dispute matters.

During this time, Sam developed a strong interest in business and succession law.  Sam’s practice now mainly focuses on providing advice to clients in respect of their leasing, business and estate matters.

Sam prides herself on providing an efficient and personal service to her clients.

One size doesn’t fit all and Sam appreciates that each client’s needs are different and they each deserve an individualised approach to their legal issues.

Outside of work, Sam is often heard mediating disputes between her three sports mad and competitive sons.  Her taxi service to and from sporting venues is busy but unlucrative.

Jo Fellows

JO FELLOWS

Jo studied as a teacher after leaving school and has spent the majority of her working life in high school classrooms. She has taught thousands of students a range of subjects from Senior Biology to Health and Physical Education to Legal Studies. In her early 30’s Jo decided to study Law and began a long journey which saw her complete a Bachelor of Laws through QUT, graduating with honours in 2019 while having two babies and teaching full or part time.

In 2020, Jo then embarked on the Legal Practice Course through the Australian College of Law. While most teachers take their Long Service Leave to travel the world or have a well earned rest, Jo spent hers completing her work experience component of the Legal Practice course at TJS Law where she picked up valuable legal knowledge and experience working alongside Sam and her team.

Jo has since left education to work on a full time basis at TJS Law in Noosaville, practicing in all areas of Estate Planning, Property, Business and Commercial. Jo brings a wealth of skills and experience in working with a wide range of people. Her background in education has taught her to provide and explain legal advice in a relatable and easy to understand way so that people are fully informed of what otherwise might seem a daunting legal process.

Jo relates well to people of all ages. She now lives in the Marcoola area which means she can bring the TJS Law services to those surrounding areas and is willing to meet clients closer to their home if it is more convenient to do so. When Jo is not at work, you might find her on Marcoola Beach with her family or friends or driving her girls to Netball, Soccer, Dance or Musical Theatre.
